How to Use Job Hunter for LinkedIn: Complete Setup Guide

Job Hunter for LinkedIn has two parts that work together: a Chrome extension that watches your LinkedIn feed, and a web dashboard where your matches are organized and searchable.
This guide walks through the complete setup from zero to your first match.
Step 1: Install the Chrome Extension
- Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for "Job Hunter for LinkedIn".
- Click Add to Chrome and confirm the permissions.
- Pin the extension to your toolbar by clicking the puzzle icon โ pin icon next to Job Hunter for LinkedIn.
Step 2: Sign In to the Dashboard
- Go to the dashboard and click Sign in with Google.
- After signing in, you will land on
/dashboard. - The extension and dashboard are now linked to your account.
Step 3: Set Your Keywords
Click the extension icon in your toolbar to open the popup. In the keywords field:
- Type a keyword and press
Enteror,to add it as a tag. - Add every spelling variation of your target skill (see the keywords guide for examples).
- Keep all keywords in the same job domain.
Step 4: Choose Post Type and Work Type
- Post Type: Choose Hiring if you are a job seeker, Open to Work if you are a recruiter, or Any for both.
- Work Type: Choose Remote, Hybrid, Onsite, or Any.
Step 5: Start Watching
- Go to
linkedin.com/feed. - Click โถ Start Watching in the popup.
- Scroll your feed normally. The extension reads every post that appears on screen.
- Matching posts (those with your keywords + a direct email or phone) appear in the popup and dashboard instantly.
Using the Dashboard
The dashboard at /dashboard shows all found posts in a searchable list. From here you can:
- Search by name, keyword, email, or phone.
- Copy individual contact details with one click.
- Export all posts as CSV, JSON, or an encrypted backup file.
- Delete posts you no longer need.
Getting More Results
The extension finds posts that appear on your feed. If your feed has little relevant content, use the ๐ Search on LinkedIn button in the popup. It opens a LinkedIn content search with an AI-optimized query built from your keywords, surfacing fresh posts from outside your network.
